Apple pie and coffee

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to go apple picking with a group of folks, at an orchard owned by (or at least worked-at-by) a coworker of Debbie's. I hadn't been apple picking since I was a little kid, and it ended up being a lot of fun.

One of the random things I rescued from my old house when moving out, was this green book of recipes specifically to do with apples. I'm not sure where it came from, but I brought it with me. Inside was a handwritten recipe for apple pie :) So we made some pie with that recipe (although we didn't go completely-homemade on the crust) and it ended up being delicious! I think the recipe might have come from AJ's mom? :)

As it was early in the season, we might want to go back and pick apples again in a few weeks.
